e-learning - Malt - videos for Thunderbird
Project name
Configure Thunderbird to offer Outlook featuresProject description
The group Collaboration, Devices and Applications (CDA) in CERN IT Department provides a big number of services which are very visible to the end-user, under-going continuous development, while ensuring top quality availability and support.
In the framework of MALT-Mail (Microstoft ALTernatives for Mail) we wish to guide users to configure Thunderbird as a mail reader without losing popular features present in MS Outlook.
The student will:
- Interview experienced Outlook users to identify the features they need most.
- When possible, provide a reference Thunderbird configuration. In case of a missing feature, reach out to the Mozilla Foundation and request it.
- Make very short videos, one per function or group of functions (not exceeding 4' minutes in duration). Method should be 'screen capture with voice over'.
- Incorporate the designated Intro/Outro files for the CDS e-learning collection.
- Equip with subtitles, exactly refecting the script.
- Update the relevant chapter of the documentation.
